Fees and Office Policy

What is Dr.Seikel’s treatment approach?

Dr. Seikel provides comprehensive care for patients with substance use disorders. This is done in the privacy of an exclusive office based setting. Dr. Seikel knows that medication alone is not effective when healing addictive disorders. That is why she develops comprehensive treatment programs that include individualized counseling, group therapy, community support and psychiatric care when needed. These services are offered in her office, or patients may continue with the counselor or psychiatrist of their choice.

Services in her practice include:

  • Outpatient detoxification
  • Medication Assisted Treatment which may include medications such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, Campral and Antabuse
  • Bundled monthly fee which may include frequent office visits and/or medication observation if needed
  • On-site urine drug screens and EtG monitoring when needed
  • On-site counseling if the patient does not have a counselor
  • On-site psychiatric evaluations and treatment when needed
How much does treatment cost?

Dr. Seikel charges by the month, regardless of how many times the patient is seen in that month.

First Month: Intake
$550 – This fee includes:

  • Intake history and physical
  • Development of comprehensive treatment plan
  • Labs, EKG and urine drug screens
  • Suboxone induction, Alcohol Outpatient Detox, or Vivitrol initiation when indicated
  • All office visits the first month. Many patients need frequent office visits the first month in order to stabilize.
  • Immediate access to Dr. Seikel or her nurse for questions or concerns by electronic mail and/or phone
  • Frequent drug screens or alcohol tests to provide structure, support, and accountability to help stabilize patients
  • Random pill counts if indicated
  • Coordination of counseling, psychosocial support, and psychiatric care

Subsequent Months: Stabilization
$200 per month – This fee includes:

  • Office visits- multiple visits if necessary
  • Medication management and prescriptions
  • Urine drug and alcohol tests
  • Pill counts if indicated
  • Weekly medication pick up if needed
  • Observed dose Antabuse if indicated
  • Electronic mail and phone access to Dr. Seikel or her nurse for questions and concerns
  • Coordination of counseling, psychosocial support, and psychiatric care
  • Follow-up lab work if indicated
Does Dr. Seikel accept insurance?
No, Dr.Seikel’s practice is cash only, but your insurance usually pays for medication including Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone), Vivitrol (naltrexone) and Campral (acamprosate). Insurance may also pay for counseling services.
Is the office accepting new patients?
Yes. Please call the office today to schedule an appointment. You may print the new patient intake forms and complete them at home. Alternatively, you may complete these forms in our office when you come for your appointment.
What is your office policy for canceled or missed appointments?
It is very important that you keep your scheduled appointments. Medication will not be called into the pharmacy when appointments are missed. Dr. Seikel has a 24-hour cancellation policy. You will be charged for your appointment if you miss them or do not cancel with at least 24 hours notice.
