Biography

Dr. Stacy Seikel attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma. She completed her residency at the University of Florida in 1989, attaining Board Certification in Anesthesiology. Dr. Seikel practiced Anesthesiology from 1989-2000 in Orlando, Florida, specializing in high-risk obstetrical anesthesia. She moved into the field of Addictionology in 2000 and is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Seikel has been with The Center for Drug Free Living since January 2001 where she serves as Medical Director. There, she oversees medical and psychiatric services for all existing programs including detoxification, methadone clinic, residential facilities, pregnant women’s program, Department of Juvenile Justice programs, as well as the Methadone Program for Orange County Corrections.
Dr. Seikel has a private addiction medicine practice in which she provides comprehensive substance use evaluations, outpatient detoxification, and Medication Assisted Treatment, utilizing medications such as Suboxone and Vivitrol.
Currently Dr. Seikel is on Mayor Teresa Jacobs Prescription Drug Task Force which addresses prescription drug addiction in Orange County, Florida. Dr. Seikel has been instrumental in addressing the impact of addiction at the State and local levels.
She is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine and the Florida Medical Professional Group, where she currently serves as President.
